Peacefully at home surrounded by family on Friday, April 1, 2016, in his 70th year. Loving husband of Margaret (nee Long) of 49 years. Honoured father of Annette Dykstra (Gerard) and the late Donna Wheeler. Predeceased by parents Peter and Audrey (nee Gilman) and brother Richard. Will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Sarah, Alex, Sean and Laura, nephew Danny, and fondly remembered by his many cherished friends. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, Ontario on Saturday April 9, 2016, from 11am until the time of service in the chapel at 1pm. A reception luncheon will follow in the Lounge. In lieu of flowers donations in Michael’s memory may be made to a charity of choice and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
