Peacefully passed away with his sons by his side, at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Tuesday June 23rd, 2015, in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Eleanor (Jo), for 52 years. Dear father of Eric (Elizabeth Reid) of Ottawa, and Ian (Lisa Tomlinson) of Toronto. Predeceased by son John. Proud papa of Alec, Charlie, James and Bennett. Also missed by niece Sharon (Carr Paine) of Folkstone U.K. Michael had a long standing career with Georgian College as a professor in the School of Business. He was also a founder of Alpine Ski Club in Collingwood, and a founding member of the Barrie Community Health Centre. Friends will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Thursday June 25, 2015 from 2pm until 3pm. A private family service will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael’s memory may be made to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and are greatly appreciated.
