The family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of Morgan Pamela Annie McLean on December 30th at the age of 41 years, at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie. She bravely battled cancer for two years and took it down fighting.

Morgan is survived by her husband Chris McLean and children Marcia, Noel, and Octavia. Beloved sister of Nathan (Michelle), loving aunt to her nieces and nephews, and soul sister to a fiercely dedicated tribe of chosen family who transcend the title of friend. Predeceased by her parents Marcia (1986) and Joe (2020). Morgan will be deeply missed by her many friends and extended family.

Morgan’s passion was her family and being a mother was her greatest joy. She poured all of her time and energy into uplifting others and her generosity knew no bounds. An avid fundraiser, Morgan was a true leader and community builder. She started her own company Morgan’s Zumba Fitness in 2011 which blossomed into a thriving Zumba and personal training business. Known for her infectious energy and playful sense of humor, her Zumba classes were always a party.

The family would like to especially thank all of the amazing medical professionals who cared for Morgan along the way. The love and support given by each member of her care team will never be forgotten.

A celebration of life will be held in Morgan’s honour on January 12th at Ferndale Banquet Hall from 1-4 pm. Guests are encouraged to dress in colourful clothing, especially hot pink and periwinkle which were Morgan’s favourite.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Relay for Life - https://support.cancer.ca/site/TR/RelayForLife/RFLY_NW_even_?px=14483013&pg=personal&fr_id=30164
