Nancy Anne Wilson (née Skrypnychuk)
March 11, 1951 - May 16, 2022
It's with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Wilson (nee Skrypnychuk).
Nancy is predeceased by her mother (Dorothy), Father (Andrew), Step Father (Wilfred), and Brother (Daniel). Lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years Warren, children Melanie (Phil), Warren (Amber), her beloved grandchildren Piper, Eva, Elleni, Sawyer and Isabella, her sister Florence, her brothers Bob (Maryanne), Tom and Greg (Jan), many nieces and nephews, family, friends and co-workers.
Nancy worked as a nurse and unit clerk at RVH for 41 years before retiring in 2011. She continued to nurse family and friends for the rest of her life. Throughout her life, she was happiest when helping others.
Nancy was also an active member of the Legion's lady’s auxiliary for 30 years.
Nancy planned and/or hosted weekly family dinners and family celebrations, happiest with family by her side.
Our family would like to offer our sincere gratitude to the Dr.'s and nurses at the RVH chemo suites, Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and Mount Sinai ICU for their outstanding care over the years and especially the last few days.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date, to be determined. Arrangements entrusted to Steckley – Gooderham Funeral Home – 30 Worsley Street, Barrie
