Olga (nee Bylyna) Hotzak, in her 90th year passed peacefully January 2nd, 2014 at Leisureworld Care Centre in Barrie. Devoted and loving wife to her late husband Thomas Hotzak. Loving mother to Josey (John) and Ted (Darlene), and mother-in-law to Arleen. Grandmother to Dorothy (Ryan), J.T.(Christina), Catherine (Troy), Steven (Rachel), Sean (Caroline). Great grandmother to Richard, Maxine, Cristophe, Joshua and Sebastian.
Olga had a passion for sewing, gardening, cooking and music and was a long-time resident of Winnipeg. Olga loved her family and friends deeply; they were the cornerstone of her life. She will be remembered fondly as a proud, industrious, fierce, and independent matriarch who always was ready to help and give to others. We miss you baba.
Visitation & services will be held at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. Visitation will take place on Sunday January 12, 2-4:30 pm with Panakhyda prayer service at 3:30 pm. Funeral service is Monday January 13 at 10 am, followed by a reception. Internment in Winnipeg to follow in spring.
