Ona Alberta Cockburn (Beach)
At the milestone age of 100 years, Ona Cockburn passed peacefully at Hyland Crest, Minden Ontario on Sunday December 28th, 2014. Predeceased by husband, Douglas Stephenson Cockburn in 1959 and her siblings; Mary Louisa McMichael, Allan Inman Beach, Hope Lois Baldwin, Laurence Irwin Beach and Mahlon Franklin Beach. Born in Iroquois, Ontario on August 23, 1914, Ona enjoyed a full and successful career as a Dietician for the T. Eaton Company in Toronto and the University of Western Ontario, London. Ona enjoyed extensive world travel and winters in Florida after her retirement in 1974. Internment at St. Thomas Cemetery, Shanty Bay in the Spring of 2015.
