Passed away suddenly at age 92 on Thursday, May 3, 2012. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Zack) for 69 years. Loving father of Connie, Rick, Glenn (Judy), Russell, Gordon (Karen), Janet and Cliff (Andrea). Adored Grandpa of Krista (Michael), Carly (Mark), Cory (Melissa), Kate, Ryan (Courtenay), Kevin, Peter, Jessica, Nadine, Amelia, Maureen and Elizabeth. Cherished Great grandpa of Jacob. Predeceased by daughter Lorna, son-in-law John, parents Mary and Michael and siblings Anne, Amelia, Adele, Daisy and Maurice. Orest was a long-time Olivetti-Underwood service manager and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Orest was truly one-of-a-kind who enjoyed family parties and a successful game of cards! Visitation on Monday, May 7th from at 7 to 9 pm at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Barrie on Tuesday morning, May 8th, at 10 o'clock. If desired, donations to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
