Past parts and service manager at Sears for 27 years
Peacefully passed away surrounded by her family after a valiant and courageous battle with cancer at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Monday October 22, 2018 at the age of 69. Beloved wife and best friend of Norman for 49 years. Loving and devoted mother of Jennifer Goodman (Steve), and Jody Deschambault (Jerry). Proud and loving G-ma of Chase, Carson and Hanna. Survived by her sister Jacqueline Cullaro (Eddie). Predeceased by her sister Hillary Russell. Sadly missed and always remembered by other dear family members and friends. Guests will be received at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St. in Barrie on Friday October 26, from 7 to 9 pm. A celebration of Penny’s life will take place the following day, Saturday October 27, in the chapel of the funeral home starting at 10:30 am. Visitation from 9:30 am. Interment will follow at Minesing Union Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception will follow at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 147, 410 St. Vincent St. in Barrie. If desired, donations in Penny’s memory may be made to the Simcoe Muskoka Regional Cancer Centre at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre and are greatly appreciated. The family would like to take this opportunity to especially thank the doctors and staff of the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Cardiac renal unit on the 4th floor for their exceptional care of Penny and consideration of her family.
