Passed away peacefully on Monday, May 10, 2021 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie in his 88th year. Peter of Barrie, Beloved husband of Helen Matiasso (née Cardona) of over 59 years. Loving father of Michael and Peter Matiasso. Cherished grandfather of John- Erik and Andrew Matiasso. Caring brother of Antoinette (AKA Toni). Peter is predeceased by his parents, brother Romeo and sister Mary. Arrangements entrusted to Steckley – Gooderham Funeral Home – 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, Ontario. A private family service is being held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 and interment to follow at the Barrie Union Cemetery. Under the current guidelines, we can only accommodate up to 10 people in attendance at any one time. In lieu of flowers, donations to the R.V.H.
