Peter Hubert Hayes, former trucker driver and farmer passed away at home on Monday, September 13th, 2021 at 59 years of age. Peter, beloved husband of Kelly Hayes. Loving father of Kyle, Amanda, infant son and honorary children Madison, Mitch, Sarah and Hunter. Dear brother of David(Carol), Beth (late Nyle), Ricky (Lynn-Anne) and brother-in-law of Debbie (Paul Dunsmore), Linda (Mark), and Donna (Al). Dear uncle of Kristi, Jesse, Melanie, Emma, Reanna, Lindsay, Morgan, Maggie, Dylan, Ashley, and Donnovan. Son of Ralph Hayes and the late Joyce Hayes (McKenzie). Son-in-law of the late Charles Batt and Zelpha Batt (Williams). Peter will be dearly missed by many friends including all the friends of his children, dialysis friends, and all nurses ,doctors, and staff of the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Dialysis unit.
Friends are invited to attend the visitation that will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. & 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie. The funeral service to honor Peter’s life will be held the next day on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 1:30 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Dialysis unit would greatly be appreciated by the family.
