Due to Ontario's Covid-19 restrictions, the funeral home can accommodate up to 35 people in the Funeral Home at one time for the visitation and 75 people for the service in the chapel. (Guests must be wearing their masks and allow proper social distancing.) The Funeral Home will be enforcing the 2-metre rule for any lineup that should occur during the visitation.

The service will also be available through our livestream platform on Friday, February 11, 2022.

Lade, Philip David

Passed away on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie at the age of 90.  Beloved husband of Brenda Lade (Née Cox) for over 54 years. Loving father of Patricia (Perry), Andrew, Melissa and Stephen (Megan), Suzy (Terry) and Gerard. Cherished grandfather of Acacia, Brady, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Charlie, Dustyn, Liam, Owen, Evie, Riannagh, Recherche, Matthew, Toby and great grandfather of Carter, Hanna, Emma, Ava, Sophia, Hayden, Colten and Zyden.  He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Philip is predeceased by his parents and siblings. The family would like to take this time to say a big heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at RVH – Respiratory unit and the paramedics for providing such compassionate care to Philip. Arrangements are entrusted to Steckley – Gooderham Funeral Home 30 Worley Street, Barrie. Friends are invited to the visitation that will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 12 (noon) till the memorial service that will be held at 1 o’clock the same day. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Philip’s memory may be made to the Salvation Army or Alzheimer Society of Simcoe County.
