Peacefully at Roberta Place in Barrie, Ontario on August 2nd, 2014 in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Ann Purcell (nee Kobar). Loved father of Lori June Stephens and her husband Robert of Barrie. Loving grandfather of Jessica, Jeffrey and Jaclyn. Dear brother of William Purcell of Windsor. Predeceased by brother Peter Purcell and sister Nancy Collier. Forever remembered by brother and sister in law Mel and June Berg of Winnipeg. Sadly missed by his many nephews and nieces. A celebration of Philip's life will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Homes, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, Ontario on Thursday August 7th, 2014 at 1 pm. Following a reception, interment will take place at Barrie Union cemetery. The family would like to take this opportunity to especially thank the staff at Roberta Place in Barrie for all of their loving care given to Philip.
