Suddenly on Friday November 7th, 2014 at the age of 78. Beloved husband and best friend of Jean for 56 years. Sadly missed by his son Larry (Kathy). Forever remembered by his sisters in law Joyce Shestowsky (Frank), Shirley Downey (late Doug), Sally Downey (late Don), and brothers in law Carl Downey (Doris), and Ken Downey. Predeceased by brother in law Ron Downey. Always loved and cherished by nieces Tracy Tutton (Chris), Tania Cook (Bill), Vicky Periara (John), Kathy Mauger (Jim) and nephews Darren Shestowsky (Tracy) and Ricky Downey. Loved and adored by his close great nieces and nephews, Chad, Brodie, Braedyn, Keenan, Tanner, Tye, Ella-Jean, and many other dear family members in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and England. Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie Ontario on Wednesday November 12, 2014 from 12 noon until the time we celebrate his life in the chapel at 1 pm. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers donation's in Raymonds memory may be made to the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation and are greatly appreciated.
