Burgess, Raymond S. – Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital on Saturday April 10, 2010 in his 90th year. Ray, beloved husband of Denise, and the late Katie Burgess. Loving father of John (Sandy), Richard (Brenda), and Kathie Atkinson (Kevin). Proud grandfather of Jeremy, Karen, Adam, Lindsay, Chad, and A.J.. Stepfather of Irene, Willy, Steve, and Norman. Step grandfather of Chris, Jenny, Aaron, Fawn, and Shawn. Survived by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Ray was an avid golfer and a member of the Barrie Golf and Country Club, Kiwanis and Golden K Clubs of Barrie. Ray was an active member of the Central United Church here in Barrie and had a long career with the Barrie Tanning Company. Friends may call at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM Funeral Home, Clapperton and Worsley Streets, Barrie, on Thursday April 15, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-8. A memorial service will be held at the Central United Church on Friday May 7, 2010 at 10:30am.
