SCHOENEICH, RICHARD HUGO
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Richard on July 29, 2010 at Hospice Simcoe in Barrie, Ontario, at the age of 62. Rich was surrounded by his loving family, never leaving his side. Rich worked at J.M. Schneiders for 35 years, as did his father for 50 years and his grandfather for 40 years. A long legacy of pride was always held in his heart for his family and their work ethic. Rich was a member of the Kitchener Waterloo Fly Fishers for almost 25 years. The K-W-F-F were instrumental in his growing love for the finer art of angling. Rich loved to tie his own flies. Every one was a work of art. So much so, he sent many to Cape Breton, and a few of them even made the trip to South America. Rich was also a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Judy, daughter Wendy, son in-law Rob, and his three grandchildren, Rachel, Nicole and Jack. Forever missed by his sisters Jackie, her son Billy (Tammy) and Betsy (Armand) with their children Matthew (Brandi) and Amber (Mike). Missed by brother in-law Don, sister in-law Nancy (Brian) and her children Brady and Regan. Rich leaves behind many other family and friends. Predeceased by his parents Rudy and Val, his brother in-law Bill, his nephew Richie and his dog Kelsey. Donations may be made to the Royal Victoria Hospital Oncology Department and Hospice Simcoe through the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 705-721-9921. A special thanks to the many staff and volunteers at the RVH Oncology Department as well as to all the Angels working at Hospice Simcoe for their exceptional care in helping Rich complete his earthly journey. Please help us celebrate Rich’s life at The Columbus Centre on Manitou Dr. in Kitchener, ON. We will be having an Open House from 2-4pm on Sunday August 15, 2010.
Tight Lines Shamus.
