SLUSAREK, RICHARD JOHN. Richard, at the age of 65, passed away suddenly but peacefully at RVH surrounded by many family and friends. Loving husband to Sheila Slusarek. Best dad to Natasha (Seymour Wood). Loving step-dad to Tanya Ritchie (Scott) and Tracy Hexemer (Matt). Beloved son to Bronislaw (Bruno) Slusarek (pre-deceased) and Katarzyna (Kathy) Slusarek. Caring son-in-law to Muriel Butt. Cherished brother to Ted (Rozalia), Teresa Brzozowski (Chester), John (Daniela), Zofia Kameka (Monair) and Jerry. Caring Grandfather to Kaylyn, Laira & Chris Ritchie and Bryn & Jack Hexemer. Endeared uncle and great-uncle to many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Family and friends will be received at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Funeral service to be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 65 Amelia St, Barrie, ON L4M 1M8 on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Following the service, family and friends are invited to Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home Worsley location for a reception. Internment to follow at a later date.
