Passed peacefully at the Bradford Valley Care Centre, Bradford on May 8th, 2020 at the age of 96. Daughter to the late Anthony Bowen and Alice (Alberti) Bowen. Cherished wife to the late Robert F. Davieau, Sr. Loving mother of Arthur, Susan, Anna, Joseph, Patrick, and of the late Alice, Robert Jr., and Mary. Cherished grandmother to Jennifer, Gerald, Mike, Christina, Marie, Carmel, Cameron, Andrew, Tara, Carley, Billy and Kieffer. Great grandmother to Destiny, Mia, Alex, Ben, Chloe, Charlie, Cadence, Patience, Diolun, Corey, Tarience, Unique, Sarah, Sabrina, Jordan, Justice and Sean. Great great grandmother to Shamus, Myla, Aaliyah, William, Levi, Sawyer, Jaziah and Zariah. Rita lived in Toronto before moving to Barrie, where she lived her most recent years. She sewed parachutes during the war before becoming a devoted, full-time mother and the matriarch backbone of the huge Davieau family. For the last 25 years of her career, she worked as a Civil Servant for the Government at Queens Park. Rita will be sadly missed by all her children.
Cremation has taken place, with arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.
