Marchand, Rita Mary October 12, 1922 – April 6, 2013
At Grove Park Home, with her children by her side, Rita passed away peacefully on April 6, 2013. Rita has now joined her true love, Tony, her husband of 58 years who went ahead to prepare the way just a year ago. She was predeceased by her brother Gerald. She leaves behind her children Ron (Maggie-Jane), Larry, Marlene and Lorraine. Also left to mourn her passing and celebrate her life are her grandchildren Jason (Barb), Danielle and Brendan and her great grandchildren Calleigh, Kennedy and Liam. Always giving more than taking, Rita leaved behind everlasting memories. Her wonderful kindness and beautiful smile will be missed by all that knew her. The family is grateful for the compassionate care by the staff at Grove Park Home. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham funeral home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 8:30 – 9:30 am. Then to St. Mary's Church 65 Amelia St., Barrie for a Funeral Mass at 10 o'clock. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery 208 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie.
