KNOX: Robert Joseph “Bud”

Peacefully at the Hillcrest Village Care Centre, on April 7, 2014 in his 88th year. Loving husband to the late Marjorie Contois. He will be sadly missed by his stepchildren Brenda Valcheff of Brantford, Paul Contois of Barrie, Raymond Contois of Haliburton. Dear brother of Jean McLean of Barrie, Stuart Knox of Queenston, and the late John Knox, Ethel Kostal, and Marcella Moore. Dear uncle of Grant Knox, Terry Watering, Robert Watering and Wendy Ann Dee. Robert (Bud) served in Active Force during World War II as a Seaman. Bud will be remembered mostly for his great smile and sense of humour. He loved to go fishing, golfing and loved to laugh. He also loved spending his winters in Florida where he and his wife Marjorie joined friends and avoided the cold winters. He loved music and enjoyed many hours singing in the church choir and later at his Nursing Home. If you needed a smile Bud was always there ready to give out as many smiles as needed. At Bud's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
