McCreary, Robert Fyfe - age 61, Justice of the Ontario Court of Justice died of lung cancer on January 25, 2011 at the Soldiers Memorial Hospital, Orillia. Bob was the very proud father of Julie and Jennifer (Michael Kidd) and proud grandfather of Haley Jane Kidd. Bob was married to Catherine for 39 loving years. They know how lucky they were to have found each other. Catherine's mother Ruth and her sister Ann (and family) and Bob's brother Peter and his family helped give our family strength at times of need.
Bob deeply appreciated and valued the support and love of his family, friends and work colleagues. Thank you everyone who lifted his spirits by calling, sending notes and especially visiting. Thank you to two special people; George Souter and Michael Harpur for weekly visits. Our thanks to all the doctors, nurses and staff who gave Bob such caring treatment. Bob did not live a long life but his was a full life highlighted by how many along the way cared so much about him. A memorial gathering will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Friday January 28, 2011 from 9 – 11 am. Memorial Service to follow.
