Jobber, Robert Allanach

April 29, 1927 - September 3, 2013
Bob Jobber passed away peacefully in Barrie Ontario. After a full and happy life he passed with "nothing left on my bucket list". Dad was born in Lachine Quebec. He came from very austere beginnings and was tremendously successful in building a comfortable life for himself and his family who loved him. He met and married the love of his life "Barb" with whom he had 62 wonderful years and raised their six kids. He worked in sales starting at Eaton's in Montreal, and moved on to Addressograph Multigraph which took him with family in tow to Toronto, Alberta and back as he climbed the corporate ladder. He loved sales and was great at it! He then started Ontario Duct Cleaning in Oshawa before retiring to London, ON and Fort Myers Beach, FL. He and Mom travelled the world. They toured North America in their "Get Away Van" and did cruises all over Europe. Dad donated his time to many charitable organizations over the years - Chateauguay School Board, Rotary, Habitat for Humanity and Ding Darling Refuge to name a few.
At 6'5" and with a big personality, Dad was truly larger than life - he was a wonderful father and is survived by Donna, Craig, Karen (Scott), Janice (Don), Stephanie (Bill) and Heidi (Doug). He was a beloved "Pop" to Patrick, Shane, Jodie, Barbara, Kory, Joshua, Robbie and Liv. He is predeceased by his beautiful wife Barbara Joan Jobber.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St. ,Barrie (705-721-9921) on October 5th at 2pm. Condolences may be forwarded through www.steckleygooderham.com
