Robert J Hollywood
April 25, 1925 – October 11, 2013.
Suddenly at Grove Park Home in Barrie on Friday October 11, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Betty Hollywood. Born in Toronto to Laurence & Susan Hollywood (predeceased) , moving to Sudbury at age 2. He attended Sudbury Mining & Technical School, then began working at Canadian Pacific Express in Sudbury until the mid 60's when he became the Secretary of the Sudbury Chamber of Commerce, later moving to the same position with the Niagara Falls Chamber. Later Bob became Manager at the Barrie Chamber of Commerce until he retired. He was a veteran of WW2 serving with the Royal Canadian Navy. He met his wife Betty (predeceased) while in Britain. They married in 1947 & enjoyed camping & touring Canada & USA with family, friends & their beloved Corgis. Survived by nephews Al, David, Rick Scragg and niece Bettyanne Sherrer. In keeping with Robert's wishes private arrangements have taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Grove Park Home in Barrie and are appreciated.
