Sinclair: Robert
Suddenly on Monday October 25, 2010, after a full life, in his 89th year. Robert (Bob) Sinclair, husband for 61 years and best friend of Margaret (nee Rix). Survived by his son Brian (Karen) of Shanty Bay, and by his daughter Jane (Tim Henshaw) of Minesing. Beloved Papa of Fraser Sinclair (Maggie), Andy Sinclair, Christena Henshaw and Jarrett Henshaw. Predeceased by his sisters Mary Beak, Isabel Bell, and Chris Burrows, and by his brother Jim. Also survived by his sister-in-law Gladys Sinclair. Uncle Bob was highly regarded by his nephews, nieces, their children, and many friends and neighbours. Bob served overseas 4 years during World War II (24th Field Ambulance). He was one of the D-Day dodgers who marched up through Italy. He later served in Belgium and the Netherlands. Bob served as a letter carrier in Barrie for many years. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, and from 10 a.m. on Friday October 29, 2010 until the time of the Funeral Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment St. James Cemetery, Crown Hill.
