Peacefully went to be with his Lord on Friday March 22, 2013 in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Ruth Allison Snelgrove for over 62 years. Loving father of Paul Alison (Anne), John Douglas (Eileen), Robert Joseph (Wendy), Elizabeth Ruth Legue (David), Benjamin James (Sharon), Janice Elaine Coghlan and Philip Patrick. Proud grandfather (Poppy) of Allison, Timothy, Jeffrey, Bethany (Will Pentesco), Lindsey, Lauren, Gregory (Julia), Christopher, Richard and Willow and great grandfather of Parker, Cohen, Josiah, and Isaac. Survived by sister Doris Morton (Pat). Pre deceased by brothers Herb and Edwin. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at the STECKEY-GOODERHAM Funeral Home, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral Service will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, 151 Lillian Crescent, on Tuesday March 26, 2013 at 1 pm. Visitation from 12 pm. to 1 pm. at the Citadel. Interment at Barrie Union Cemetery, in the spring. Memorial donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
