Peacefully on Tuesday September 8, 2015. Ron, husband of the late Margaret Bassett and the late Ruth Bassett. Father of Brian (Elizabeth), and the late Bruce Bassett (Julie). Step father of Deborah Tennant (Ron) and Douglas Eaton (Mylene Langevin). Best friend of Donna Cochrane. Will also be sadly missed by his grandchildren: Elizabeth Bassett, Hilary Rovansek (Andrew), Simon Bassett (Jaime), James Eaton (Michelle), Douglas Tennant (Jessica), Sarah “Me” Tennant, Noel Gondek (Melodie) and Stephanie Eaton. Great grandfather of 8. Family and friends will be received at the Trinity Anglican Church, 24 Collier Street, Barrie, for a Celebration of Life on Saturday October 3 at 1:00 pm. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations to the David Busby Centre or a charity of your choice would be gratefully appreciated.
