Hynds, Rosemond “Rosie” Phyllis
Peacefully passed away at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Sunday, May 4, 2014, in her 90th year. Rosie (nee Stewart), beloved wife of 70 years to Colonel William “Jim” Hynds. Loving mother of Linda Hughes (Peter) and cherished grandmother of Lisa (Jamey), James (Roseanne), Jennifer and Jason. “Aunt Gerry” is loved and will be missed by her many nieces and nephews. Rosie had a challenging and rewarding life as the wife of a career RCAF Colonel. Moving and organizing homes in more places and countries than you could count for over 32 years, before setting down roots in Barrie, ON. The memories are many, the stories never ending. She will be remembered forever for her "joie de vivre". Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie on Thursday, May 8, 2014 from 12 noon until time of memorial service in the chapel at 1 pm.
