Peacefully passed with family by his side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at the age of 88 years. Beloved husband of Eileen (née Lord). Loving father of Dan Bookalam (Sharon), Jo-Ann Bizzo (Gary), Kelly Dickinson (Kathy), Carolynn and the late Paul and Michael. Proud grandfather of, Leslie, Ashley, Jonathan, Nicole (deceased), Katelyn, Chase, Cole and great grandfather of Ella, Edison, Dan and Zoey. Dear brother of Billy and the late Alex. Will be missed by extended family members and many dear friends.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, August 3rd, 2024 from 10 am until the time of Service in the Chapel at 11 am. Interment to immediately follow at the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, 208 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie at 12 pm. A reception will follow inside the lower lounge of the Funeral Home. For guests who wish to attend the reception but not the interment, please make your way into the lounge and await the families return.
