Ruth Adeline Reesor, 92, of Barrie, Ontario, died peacefully on July 19th, 2024 at Mill Creek Care Centre. Predeceased by her parents Isaac and Annie Baker, husband Lorne Jason, son Michael and great-granddaughter Abby, and survived by children Diane, Douglas, Peter, and Marilyn, ten grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.
Ruth was an avid reader, writer, traveler, chorister, family historian, volunteer, public servant, and rescuer of animals in distress. She was known for her keen sense of humour and her zest for adventure.
A service and reception celebrating Ruth's life will be held at Rouge Valley Mennonite Church, 7452 Reesor Road, Markham on Saturday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m.
Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Reesor Mennonite Cemetery, 7070 York Durham Line, Markham (just north of Steeles Avenue).
