Benson, Sadie –
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Royal Victoria Hospital on Sunday, July 8, 2012 in her 83rd year. Loving wife and best friend of the late Alfred Benson Sr. Predeceased by her parents John and Florence Butt. Cherished mother of Anita Coles (Harold), Linda Rigg, Alfred Benson Jr., Walter Benson (Melinda) and son –in-law Scott Rigg. Adored Nanny to 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Dearly loved by her brother Fred and sister Lillian and predeceased by 2 brothers and 1 sister. Sadie will be missed by her many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Road, on Wednesday, July 11th from 1-3pm. Service will be held in the Chapel at 3pm. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and would be appreciated by the family. Cremation will take place. A very heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff at The Royal Victoria Hospital on 4 South C for the extra special care they gave to mom.
