Peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie, on Tuesday, January 7, 2013, in her 95th year. Salme Lohuaru (nee Andre) of Barrie, beloved wife of the late William. Loving mother of Peter and his wife Linda of Vancouver and Mai Ann Lohuaru of Barrie. Cherished grandmother of Katrin and Markus. Predeceased by her brother, Dr. John Andre (surviving spouse Edith) of Toronto and sister, Linda Maimik. Loving aunt of Louie Andre and his family of Huntsville. She will be fondly remembered by friends and family both in Canada and Estonia A funeral service will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, January 11, 2014, at 3 pm followed by a reception. Memorial service at St. Peter's Estonian Church, Toronto, at a later date. Interment of cremated remains at St. Peters Church to follow service.
