SAMUEL STEENSON
Born December 25, 1925 in Belfast Northern Ireland. Sam passed away peacefully surrounded by his immediate family at the IOOF Home, Barrie on September 8, 2012. Dear brother of Isabel Johnston (Robert) of Barrie, William (Myrtle) of NI, predeceased by brother Thomas (Kathleen) of NI.A kind and gentle man, Uncle Sammy will be fondly remembered by his nephews; Kirk (Claire) of Salt Spring Island, BC, Drew (Debra) of Barrie, Craig (Linda) of Barrie and their families. For many years a familiar figure at Humberbay Park in Toronto, Sam spent many happy hours feeding and caring for the
wildlife and birds. Friends may call at the Steckley – Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday September 15, 2012; visitation at 9:00 followed by a service at 10:00. Interment at Glendale Memorial Gardens - 1810 Albion Rd, Rexdale, ON. The family wishes to thank the staff at the IOOF Home, Allandale Village for all the compassion and care that Sam received while he was there and Dr. John Beecroft.
