Sandra Bourassa (née Rennie)
June 21, 1959 – August 14, 2022
Suddenly but peacefully passed on August 14th, 2022 at her home in Barrie that she loved so much at the age of 63 years. Beloved wife of Dave for 35 years. Loving mother of Alexandra and Erinn. Dear sister of Alan Rennie, Susan (Paul Newby), Michael Rennie (Kari Hoult) and sister-in-law of Diane (the late Rob) Lauzon, Donna Sobecki, Joanne Bourassa, Rick Bourassa, Jack (Lori) Bourassa and Sean Vanstone (Kristan). Beloved mom of Penny Lane and beloved grandma of furry companions Bobby, Bynx and Hugo. Predeceased by her parents Alexander and Rita Rennie. Will be fondly missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Sandi had that spunky and hilarious personality that could light up any room. She was incredibly warm, loving, compassionate, generous, and creative. She loved to make her family and friends laugh and succeeded in doing so often. She brought a special light to everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
The family would like to inform everyone that the dress code for the event is Beachy (open to your own interpretation but preferably no black).
Visitation will be held at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 from 1 pm until the time of Service at 2 pm. Reception to follow inside the lower lounge. A private family interment will occur in the future at the Innisvale Cemetery. Donations in Sandra’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and are greatly appreciated by the family.
