December 2, 1971 – April 26, 2021

It is with great sadness that the family of Scott Gregory Brett announces his sudden passing on Monday April 26th,2021 at the young age of 49 years old.

Scott will be forever remembered by his loving mother, Barbara Anne Hodgson, his three sisters, Alison Jane Brett, Lee-Anne Shelley Brett and Lynda June Hodgson. His Nephews, Elias A. Ali, Jamal A. Ali, and Askar O. Ali will miss their tall handsome, animal loving and kind uncle very much. Scott was cherished by many Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Scott will be reunited with loved ones, his late father, Elijah W. Brett, stepfather Douglas Hodgson and grandparents in peace. Scott was cared for and adored by Karen/Jim Canzio for many years. Scott brought laughter and kind heartedness to everyone that touched his life. We know that he will be deeply missed by friends, family and support workers that cared for him every day and every way manageable.

Funeral Visitation by invite only will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday April 30th, from 10:30 am – 11:00 am with Covid-19 Restrictions - limited to 10 people at a time. A livestream visitation will be offered online by clicking the link above. A private graveside service will be followed at the Barrie Union Cemetery, 338 Sunnidale Rd., Barrie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Toronto Star Santa Claus Fund would be a great welcome and appreciated as we know that Scott loved Santa and his favorite time of the year was Christmas and spending time with his loving family, as he loved to say HO HO HO no matter what season it is. If Scott could have it Christmas would be every day and Santa would be his best friend. Online condolences and memories may be left at www.steckleygooderham.com
