Corbett, Stanley (Stan) Gordon – CGA and former President of Canada Law Book, Aurora, Ontario of Barrie, Ontario, formerly of Six Mile Lake, Muskoka and Richmond Hill, passed away peacefully at Hospice House on March 9, 2011 with his family by his side after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer in his 67th year. Loved husband and best friend of Shirley, proud and loving father of Michael (Elke) of Newmarket and Kyle (Laura) of Campbell, CA and stepfather of Dawn Smith (Dennis) of Rochester, NY. Loving and proud Poppy of Alex, Claudia, Bryce, Quinn, Kenisha, Adrian, Ashley and Jordyn. Dear brother of Rick (Constance) of Orillia and Nancy Dumont (Michael) of Midland. Stan will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, the Rooke and Smale families and friends. In Stan's retirement years at Six Mile Lake, he enjoyed entertaining family and friends, fishing, snowmobiling, curling and his travels from Alaska to Hawaii and the Caribbean. The family would like to thank Dr. Robert Elmaraghi, the wonderful oncology nursing staff of the Royal Victoria Hospital for their care and support over the past four years, and also the staff of Hospice Simcoe for their care. March 11, 2011 from 2-4 pm and on Saturday March 12, 2011 from 1 pm until the time of service in the chapel at 2 pm.
