Passed peacefully at the Mill Creek Care Centre in Barrie, on Tuesday,
January 23, 2018 at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Mary
“Jean” for 68 years. Honoured father of Steven (Margaret), Craig (Andrea),
Darrell (Karen) and Stanley Jr. Loving brother of Robert (pre-deceased).
Will be sadly missed by his 9 grandchildren, 4 great-granchildren, nieces,
nephews and many long-time friends. Cremation has taken place. Friends
are invited to visit at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley
St., Barrie, on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 from 10 am until the time we
celebrate Stan’s life in the Chapel at 11 am. Following the service, guests
are invited to remain for a reception luncheon in the Lounge. The family
would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt thanks for the
exceptional care provided by the Mill Creek care givers. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Special Olympics Barrie would be greatly appreciated.
