It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Susan Lynn White (nee Gates). She passed away peacefully at home surrounded with family by her side on Friday, November 13th, 2020 at the young age of 48. Born in Twillingate, Newfoundland on January 11, 1972.
She is survived by her loving husband, Austin. She will forever remain in the hearts of her children Kyle and Rachel (Trevor). Predeceased by her parents Sidney (2015) and Hazel (2000) Gates. She will be dearly missed by her mother and father in-law Pansey and Gerald White. Dear sister of Chesley (Dianne), Harris (Holly), Harvey (Louise), Tony (Shirley), John (Sunita) and Gary (Angela). Sister-in-law of Nancy, Phillip, Paula, Andy (Nicole), Jocelyn, Kim and the late Randy and by all her nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Susan was well loved and respected by many. For those who knew her were truly blessed. She welcomed everyone in as if they were family. She may be gone, but never forgotten.
She enjoyed being part of the Barrie Dragon Boat Team, she loved being outdoors, especially when she was hiking and snowshoeing with her friends and snowmobiling with her husband.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Monday, November 16th, 2020, from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place the following day on Tuesday, November 17th, 2020 at 11 a.m. by invitation only. In keeping with Susan’s wishes, cremation will follow. Please note that facial coverings as well as physical distancing and gathering restrictions are mandatory.
