Symes, Susan Anne (nee Hopkins) March 29, 1960 – May 3, 2015 passed away peacefully with her family by her side at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre, Barrie. Loving mother of Mary Helen Symes, beloved wife of Vincent Fitzpatrick, dear daughter of Helen Hopkins (Howard Livingston), loving sister of Janis (Stephen) Bishop, caring aunt to Jonathan Dewar, Susan (Scott) Cunningham and Bradley, and great aunt to Allie, Emily, Noah and Hailey. Loving stepmother of Lloyd and Chris Fitzpatrick, happy grandmother to Stella, Chloe and Rylin, loving member of the Symes family. Predeceased by her son Baby James and her father Robert Hopkins. Susan touched so many lives, was loved by all, will be deeply missed and always remembered by her many relatives, friends and music students. All may pay their respects and visit with her family at the Steckley Gooderham Funeral Home at 201 Minet’s Point Road, Barrie on Friday May 8th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm. The memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday May 9th with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service.
