Passed peacefully at the Georgian Bay General Hospital in Midland, on Sunday, June 2nd, 2019 at the age of 84. Daughter of the late Ted & Evelyn Burt and daughter in-law to the late Hap & Mable Emms. Beloved wife of Paul Emms for 66 years. Loving mother of Sandra (Les) Campbell, Gordon (Brenda) Emms and Barbara Emms. Proud grandmother of Autumn (Mark) Marchment, Leighton Bucht, Leah and Lauren Griffith. Great grandmother of Willow, Chase, Harlome and Morgan. Dear sister of Richard (Joan), proud aunt of their children Greg (Holly) and great aunt of Darren and Maggy and Lindsey. Suzanne will be sadly missed by many other extended family members and friends. Suzanne was well known for being a wonderful figure skater. This talent allowed her to be a proud member of the Hamilton Tiger Cats as a talented cheerleader. She was fortunate to find her joy in life joining the Ice Follies. Down the years she became and instructor teaching primarily in Barrie. She was also known greatly for her involvement of the winter carnivals in Barrie. She would organize skating programs and routines and arranged for the band to perform at the carnival. Once they moved to Niagara Falls, Sue became a contributing member of the Niagara Falls Flyers/ St. Catherines Black Hawks Jr A Hockey clubs through the office and instructing power skating. They spent their retirements years in Cottage country or wintering in Texas making new friends.
Suzanne was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
