THOMPSON, Sylvia
Passed away peacefully, while surrounded by family who loved her dearly, on March 2, 2025 at the age of 96. Now reunited with her beloved husband, Clayton Thompson (2006). Loving mother of Marjorie Acton (Paul), Carolyn Johnson (Darcy), Michael Thompson, and Patricia Caringi (Benny).
Cherished grandmother of Blake, David (Jessica), Casadie, Jennifer, Joshua, Kimberly (Mike), Christopher (Jenny), Zachary (Dianna), Samantha (David), Natasha (Kevin), step-grandmother of Ashley, and James (Nerissa), and great-grandmother of 13. Though Sylvia will be greatly missed by all her extended family, there is solace knowing that she is at peace in Heaven.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 11 AM until the time of service at 1 PM, followed by a reception luncheon. Private family interment will be held at Beechwood Cemetery, Vaughan on Wednesday, March 5 at 11 AM.
The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the staff and volunteers at Victoria Village, Barrie for their outstanding care and compassion through the years.
