Terry Doyle passed away on March 2, 2022 at the age of 56, in Barrie, Ontario after a courageous battle with cancer.
Terry will be remembered as a “yes man” who was down for just about anything. He was spontaneous and fun and simply loved hanging out with his friends and family. Terry enjoyed being active. He especially liked playing (and watching) sports, listening to music, praying and meditating, playing poker, walking around the lake…and food! Terry fancied himself a foodie, but anyone who knew him knows he just loved to eat!
Terry was an extremely active member in the 12 Step community and helped dozens of men and women recover from drug and alcohol addiction. Terry led by example, taking his service work to the next level. He would drop everything - no matter where or when - to take a call from one of his sponsees, which he loved like family. Terry would have celebrated 11 years of recovery on March 15, 2022.
A celebration of life will be held on March 15, from 6-9pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, at 410 St. Vincent Street in Barrie (entrance off Ferris Lane). The evening will close with Terry’s CA home group presenting him with his 11 year medallion.
Terry is survived by his beloved, Amber Couckuyt, daughter Maddie Iannicello, mother Barbara Eitel, father, Jack Doyle, sister Stacey Doyle and his nephews Jagger, Kash and Dhillon Grewal, who all adored their uncle Terry. We will miss him dearly.
