O’Shaughnessy, Thomas “Joe”
After a courageous and resilient battle with cancer, Joe passed peacefully at home in Barrie with his family by his side on January 26th, 2022 at the age of 67. Loving husband of Cheryl O’Shaughnessy. Honoured father of Eryn (Denis), Miranda (Alen), Tyler (Melissa), and Tanya (Steve). Cherished grandfather of Jordan, Madyson, Mason, Graydon, Avery, Isabella, Stella, and Cooper. Dear brother of Steve (Betty), Bill (Wendy), Janet, and Kathy (the late Steve). Predeceased by his parents William and Joyce.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Saturday, February 5th, 2022 from 1 – 3 p.m. A private family service will follow in the Chapel at 3:30 p.m., with livestream available to the public. Masks, physical distancing, and capacity limitations are mandatory. Interment at Lakefield Cemetery will be held in the Spring.
If desired, donations in Joe’s memory may be made to the RVH Cancer Care Centre and are greatly appreciated by the family.
