She passed peacefully at her home in Oro-Medonte on Monday, March 1st, 2021 after a short battle with Parkinson’s Disease. At the age of 74 years, she was the beloved wife of Nelson for 54 years.
She will be fondly remembered as the most caring and loving mother to Heather Knight, Bruce (Danita) Harnden and Elizabeth (Scott) Anderson. Proud grandmother of Emily, Conlan and Reese, Matthew and Nathan. Dear sister of Barb (Larry) Cassidy and Phil (Diane) Sills and sister-in-law of Ginny and Dave White. She will be greatly missed by extended family members and many dear friends.
In keeping with Valerie’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family service in the future. Arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie.
