Passed away peacefully on Friday, April 1st, 2022 at the Mill Creek Care Centre in her 92th year. Beloved wife the late Laszlo Makray (2009). Loving mother of Maria (Paul) Steckley. Cherished grandmother of Lesley, Tiffany, Ben, Lindsay, Andrea (Jon Baham), Kristen (Adam Chartrand), Robert (Britney), David and great grandmother of fourteen beautiful great grandchildren. Vila will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Vila is predeceased by her parents Alexander and Estley (née Anthony) Hussey, her brother Bob Hussey and three of her children Helen Price, Lesley Makray and Susan Makray-Corey. Family and friends are invited to Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St. Barrie, on Friday, April 8, 2022 from 12 (noon) till the service time that be held the same day in our chapel at 1 o’clock. Everyone is invited to continue sharing stories and memories at the reception in the lower level of the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd would be gratefully appreciated by Vila’s family.
