Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 06, 2010 at Royal Victoria Hospital at the age of 84. Loving husband of Bernice Marie nee Ryan for 63 years (formerly of Dundas, Ontario). Cherished dad of Ruby “Marie†and her husband Rob Edwards of Barrie and the late John Henry Nickless. Devoted grandfather of Robbie Jr., Vincent (Laura), Shelley (Jacques), Tina (Dino), Ryan, Adam, Jan and Kandi. Compassionate great-grandfather of 10 and great-great grandfather of one. Dear brother of Violet Lupton. Predeceased by parents Walter and Beatrice Nickless, brothers Albert and Lawrence, sisters Lilian Pitt and Mary Woodcock. Friends will be received at the STECKLEY-GOODERHAM FUNERAL HOME, 30 Worsley Street, Barrie, on Sunday, January 10, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Collier United Church, 112 Collier Street, Barrie visitation will begin at 12 p.m until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice Simcoe or the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
