Passed peacefully at Woodspark Care Centre, Barrie on Sunday, October 8th, 2017 at the age of 71. Dear husband of Rita for 45 years and dear father of Martin. Survived by his mother, Jean Martin and sister Bronwyn (Don), Sheena and Tina. Wayne will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Annie McShane (the late Hughie), and his nieces Margaret, Kathleen, Patricia and Andrewena, his nephew David, and their families. Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, October 13th, 2017 from 10 am until the time we celebrate Wayne’s life in the Chapel at 12 pm. The family would like to take this opportunity to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff and volunteers at Woodspark Care Centre for their support and care, and especially to Dr. McConvey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimers Society would be greatly appreciated.
