McDOUGALL, William Clarence.

Passed away suddenly on May 30, 2010. Born May 28, 1924 in MacGregor, Manitoba to Dan and Nellie McDougall; he was one of nine children. Survived by his loyal and loving wife, Myrtle, of 59 years. Loving father to daughter Lorene McDougall; daughter and son-in-law Janice and David Crane; son and daughter-in-law Donald and Cleo McDougall. Loving grandfather to granddaughter and husband Vanessa and Corey Beamish; great granddaughters Mackenzie and Jadyn Beamish. Loving brother to sister and husband Viola and Wayne Beach of Elm Creek, Manitoba. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Serving in Europe during WWII, Bill was a member of Sherbrooke Fusiliers Regiment from 1941-1945. After a sheet metal trade career in Manitoba and Northern Ontario, he retired in Barrie. Bill was a gentle man, devoting his life to his family. He was immensely proud of his children, and was always pleasantly amused at his great granddaughters' boundless energy and antics. His quiet and kind presence will be greatly missed. Private service to be held. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of choice may be made.
