BOYD, W. Harold “Butch” - (GE, Black & Decker, Barrie Welding) of MacTier (formerly of Barrie) passed away peacefully January 6, 2012 at Hospice Simcoe in his 69th year after a brief battle with cancer. He is survived by his long time partner, Michelle Boyes. Also survived by his daughter, Cheryl Kidman, grand-daughter, Kendra and sister, Elsie Morrison (Don). Step-father to Stephanie and Jennifer Boyes. Poppa Butch to Nicholas, Matthew, Tyler, Lukas and Hannah. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Butch was an avid softball player and curler. He also loved spending time on the lake. The family would like to thank Dr. Joe Bailey and the staff, and volunteers at Hospice Simcoe for all their support. Friends may call at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 201 Minet's Point Rd., Barrie, on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 1 p.m. until the time of the memorial service at 2 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
