McLeod, William – Wing Commander William McLeod, RCAF Squadron 407, WWII Veteran, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie at the age of 96. Loving husband of Eunice Ruth (nee McQuade). Dearly loved father of Katherine (Bob) Tedford, William (Nancy) McLeod and John (Sybilla) McLeod. Cherished grandfather of Jordy, Matthew, Jamie, Lindsay, Lauren, Cameron, Michael, Brandon and Alison. Dearly loved great-grandfather of George, Harry, Peter, Molly, Fletcher, Baya, Madeline and John E. Dear brother-in-law of Beatrice McQuade and Doris MacLeod. He will also be missed by extended families “the Scotts”, Simmons and Maw families.
Friends will be received at Steckley- Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie, on Thursday, August 23rd, 2012 from 10 a.m, until the time of service at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Royal Victoria Hospital or Rio de Cambio (River of Change) would be appreciated by the family.
