Peacefully passed at the Allandale Station Retirement Residence in Barrie on Tuesday, June 4th, 2024 at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of Donald Irwin for 66 years. Loving mother of Charlene Hendriks (Joe), Rick Irwin (Caroline) and the late Nancy. Proud grandmother of Jennifer Long, Nathan Irwin, Craig Hendriks, Jessica Retzleff, Kyle Irwin, Ashley Irwin and Travis Irwin. Great grandmother of 8. Dear sister of the late Douglas Holt, Frances Leonard, Audrey Macdonald, Phyllis Archer, Eldon Reynolds, Eric Reynolds and Laurence Reynolds. Sister-in-law of Gillian.  Will be missed by extended family members and many dear friends.

Wilma was passionate about gardening, knitting, quilting, sewing and folk art painting.

Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 from 10 am until the time of service in the Chapel at 11 am. Guests are invited to remain for a reception following the service inside the lower lounge. Interment to take place the following day on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at 10 am at the St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, 3294 St. Paul’s Crescent., Innisfil. The family welcomes anyone to join if desired, but not to feel obliged that you must. In lieu of flowers, donations in Wilma’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and are greatly appreciated by the family.
