MAVOR, Winifred Jane (nee Briggs) of Barrie and formerly of Cornwall, ON and Sydney, NS, passed away on Friday, December 4th, 2009, in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Ian Ross Mavor. Dear mother of Ian Ross (Louise) Mavor, of Orleans, ON and Leslie Philip (Janet) Mavor of Barrie, ON. Grandmother of Susan (Scot) Geib, Neil (Elizabeth), Jonathan and Elizabeth Jane. Great grandmother of Ewan, Aaron and Kaitlin. Winifred is a 60 year Honourary Life Member of IODE. At her request, a private family service will take place at the Innisvale Crematorium Chapel. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 8th, 2009 at 1 PM. at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 47 Owen Street, Barrie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to the Sheila Mavor Campership Fund at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Barrie.
